You know about FatFingers.com for searching for mis-spelled ebay listings?

Yeah but their better 'did you mean to search for' auto-correct thing made that much less useful a while back.

auctionsniper.com is a huge winner.  I rarely use ebay but when I do on an auction it's only ever using that.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

This is great info!.. i had a quick read of the old lense guide that Dubfan posted and am now wondering what older lenses work best with an adapter for the EF mount, any ideas?

You can get anything in M42 mount (which is just a screw thread) and then attach it using an M42 to Canon EF adaptor.
The adaptors are just a ring of metal really.

They come in three flavours: 1) plain metal, 2) metal with focus confirmation chip and 3) with a small piece of glass in to give you infinity focus (although I can't seem to find any of these for Canon on ebay).
1) Plain adaptor
2) with focus confirmation chip

There are some really nice lenses out there if you're willing to go manual with a vintage lens.
Look here for some recommendations

Anyway, I got my lens and adaptor.
Prinzflex Auto Reflex 35mm f2.8 M42 and M42 to Sony A adaptor. Total cost including postage: £10.88

Here's one a took just playing about, free-lensing (ie taking a photo with the lens not attached)

Need to get out and try some proper shots tomorrow.
