"Car maker Volkswagen temporarily shut its plant in Zwickau, in the eastern German state of Saxony, because flooding stopped workers from reaching the factory, and parts of the German town of Passau, at the confluence of the Danube and two other rivers, were flooded."
It is reported that Volkswagen will temporarily stop production at its plant in Zwickau. The morning shift on Monday morning had been cancelled, said a company spokesman. Although the work itself was not directly affected by the floods, but many roads in the region, some of the suppliers and also numerous employees. With the night shift by 22 clock production to be resumed. The Zwickau factory is responsible for production of the new MK7 Body as well as Jetta and the Phaeton for the Dresden Glass Factory.
