Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member to your forum. I’ve had my 2019 mk7.5 Golf GTI PP for just over a year now and love it. I’ve previously owned a modified mk5 Golf GT TDI and a 9n Polo alongside my toy which is blue oval, RS related (that may be a swear word in here ha). My GTI is a daily and great all rounder. Car is a manual, 3 doors and has 19” Brescia wheels which I love. I found this forum whilst looking for guidance on dash rattles and thought it was worth signing up. Here’s a picture of my pride and joy:

Thanks very much 😊 The dash rattle is driving me crazy, I’ve been too scared to start pulling the dash to bits for fear of breaking the gloss black trims but it’s coming to the point where I need to man up and dive into it now ha

Thanks for the pic, I do love a nice mk1 RS, so simply in shape, and the side profile is elegant with the large rear quarter window.


I know which one I would keep! 

But to be fair to the Golf, in 10 years time the Golf mk7/7.5 will seem just as analogue as the RS compared to the modern tech.

IMHO a true classic hot hatch of the noughties and yours looks fantastic . Love it!

The RS is a keeper for life, don’t think it has a bad angle when taking a picture 👌🏻 Had one 2008 to 2012 and missed it that much I bought another in 2016. This one has done 44k and never seen salt - it’s a bit of a garage queen but gets well used when it comes out 😂 Thanks for the kind comments mate 😊
