Agreed, I do like the tartan but the art velour definitely lifts the interior ambience whilst keeping it very GTI.

That's the one thing I'm missing so far (it'll only rarely be driven in the dark, so the dynamic LEDs aren't a great miss, though my E-Class has them and they're great).

Wonder if it can be retrofitted at some point?

I've still yet to meet a salesperson who knew much about a car they are selling... No idea why anyone would take the word of a car salesperson as gospel

£540 quoted by my local VW dealer for a reversing camera retrofit. Passing for the moment, though tempted.

I've been a guest lurker for a while and really appreciate all the advice and knowledge on here; but finally got my GTI last week.

Its a GTI 'Performance' in Isaac Blue, 5dr DSG.
Extras are:
Dynamic Chassis Control
Brescia Alloys
Sunroof
90% rear tints

We're absolutely thrilled with it - its a hard colour to photograph (and sorry Admin for the dealer name but Photobucket took me to the limit of my IT skills) but looks stunning in the metal. Its very early days and only done 250miles but just love the performance, comfort and everything else really.
Downsides? I hate the stop/start - seems too aggressive coming from Manuals and might look to remove it. I've turned off the lane assist too, but at least that stays off.
