i thought that the TB aligned itself?

On AGU's.

so a aum id have to get it aligned if i cleaned the TB.

Funny you say that. Because there was some confusion over it. Have googled around and few people have said it settled itself after 20-30 miles  like agu's..and some say u must use vagcom. Ill do it when vagcom is to hand just incase.

So I've been told.  I've an AGU myself, so never had to worry about it.

is it just a cable i need?  just got a handheld yesterday to see if i had any codes, all clear

Yh just the cable. The software is free from rosstech and enough to scan ,clear fault codes and tb align etc.
