i may have a coil pack issuse i am getting rough idle and the other day started her up sound like she was running on 3 cyclinders. popped the bonnet had a look and listen cant see nothign wrong and them it began idling fine it could bee a number a of things but dont wanna jump start on the coilpack issue and would they throw a code on VAG COM as i can get it scanned later?


vw golf mk4 ARZ 1.8T pipercross panel filter, xenon headlights, JOMS coilovers, forge 007p with green spring, audi tt anti roll bar, 3inch ebay trubo back exhaust, COOKIES MONSTER STICKER(adds bhp I swear)

When mine shot a coilpack it sounded and still love this description from someone else (like a Retarded Subaru)

If you leave the engine running and split the coilpack harness from the coilpack the engine note should drop on each one - if it doesn't drop on one its buggered
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

just unplug and plug back in while its running dalo?

Yeah but only the wiring off the coilpack not the coilpack itself  :shocked:
