I have emailed him explaining the bits that will need doing cam belt water pump Etc and offered him 1000 with 12 months mot 900 without. I would go n view first but it's 170 miles away haha. Even if it wasn't serviced proper surely tho with a bit of tax on my part water pump belts oil plugs the works that would help? People have said just sack the mk3 idea off...but I'm in love haha I'm sad every time I see my dead one in the drive with a trail of oil (golf blood) trickling away. I need another in my lifeY dont you just fit a new gearbox to yours save your self a grand?? I recently bought a MK3 GTI 16v done just over 110K 2 owners from new first being a doctor, looked to have very little rust but took arches off and has a few scabs. Theres not many MK3's out there that dont well GTI's anyway the arches are a crap idea in reality.
