Now back from a nice holiday with my better half in Cornwall, I now have time to post some pics of my GTi that I took just before I went away.

As you can see, I've not got round to fitting the (incorrect PCD) BBS wheels yet. But front end has had a respray, to remove some bad stone chipping. The rear passenger side door, C pillar and the bumper have also been done to remove some nasty scratches. I've also fitted the VR6 chin spoiler, which I think most of you will agree looks a lot better than the standard one.
Other than than that it's completely standard inside and out (apart from a Sony CD headunit). For now thats the way it's probably going to stay. I did have one of those aluminum golf ball gear Knobs with a leather gaiter fitted, but couldn't get the gaiter to fit properly so put the original one back on. Bloody ebay rubbish

.
I've actually decided to share the GTi with my better half, more as her car really. Getting rid of our Y reg Corsa (that neither of us like much anyway) and track down a nice Corrado VR6 for myself and maybe put the BBS wheels on that

, as long as we've got one car with air-con (the GTi)

.
On the journey back from Cornwall (Liskeard area) to Felixstowe I managed to get an average 42 mpg out of it

going steady, with the brand new standard VAG full exhaust system banging and rattling all the way

, but thats another story

.
Other than that it's a lovely car to drive, new clutch and shocks will probably be the next areas of attention

.
Anyway I'll stop rambling on

, hope you like it

.
Phil.
