GTi GTD Demonstrators

Hi there. I'm a newbie to the forum.  I'm just about to put an order in for a new company car and have managed to negotiate a GTi or GTD.  I'd love to see one in the flesh and give it a drive before committing as I'll be on a 4 year lease.

I've seen there are a few knocking about around the company but had anyone got a list of the whereabouts of these at which stealers?

Flinty, you don't need to drive one to want one..............I'm the same as you, just ordered one as a company car (GTD) I drove the 2.0 GT & that was the best car I had ever driven. Wasn't sure what the attraction to the golf's were until I drove it. There's one in Glasgow if you can handle the, what, 8 hour drive!  :tongue:

Flintymutt: You might be able to get into a demo MK7 GTI right now for a drive (not sure whether they're officially giving customers test drives until 01 June), but you won't get a GTD yet, doesn't seem like anyone has a GTD demo in the UK. To get a feel for the GTD, go out in the GTI for a feel of the car and get a go in a Scirocco 170 or 177TDI, or a MK6 Golf GTD to get a feel for 90% of the performance. I'm guessing that GTI or GTD decision is down to you and and how much tax you want to be paying for it as a company car?

My local dealer have a tornado red one in so I'm off here on Friday afternoon for a quick gander.

Does anyone know which dealers in the middle/north of Scotland have GTIs either in the showroom or as demonstrators?

Arnold Clark VW on Crow Road have a white 3dr in the showroom. Pics of it in the GTI picture thread on here

South Hereford Garages have a Blue GTI, 5 Door, Manual, 18", Discover Pro Nav, Heated Seats. 352 miles on the clock when I took it out.

I'll be working down there, i'd like to pop in during my lunch break so about 12-12:30?
