A little blast on a straight!
« on: 08 August 2005, 12:43 »
I had the 16v out yesterday and was coming home. I was at the lights and had a Punto behind me. At the next set I was behind him. The Punto GT I thought was a pissy little wanna be hot hatch. How wrong I was. I was up him 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I then realised I was a tw@t for going waaaaay to fast and backed off.

Couldn't believe how quick the Punto was. I guess its one of those things with the Fiats. All well when running, but when the go pop its another story!

its always useful to have good knowledge on other cars ... so you know what you're up against when you are playing around . plus you never know what they have done to their cars too...

Is it a yellow one? A young Asian lad was driving it, he is based somewhere near Heathrow. It looked standard and looked tidy. I just thought the GT was a model different to the Turbo. I now know!

My mate in Oz had a Swift when they were new on the scene. What a good little car they were too!

Thats like those 1000cc Charades. Remember seeing a couple of them in MaxPower (yes I have read early editions when it first came out)  :embarassed:
