MFA
« on: 24 May 2013, 19:50 »
Does any have any knowledge on how the MFA works? mine is not working and i cant find a reason for it. Haynes manual is no help.
I thought it was a dial's issue so i checked this by changing them, but no luck. still not switching between the clocks etc.

so i thought id try checking voltage and resistance though the sensors (not tried the oil temp) but i know that the outside air temp runs incredibly high resistance (cant remember exactly but it was something like 200k resistance. also putting out 0.14v, this was then fed right to the clocks.

and of course these are the only 2 inputs to the clocks everything else is calculated inboard (or so i have been informed)

any help guys?

BTW i am inputting the MFA into an AAM engined mk2 jetta. i ask in here because its a mk3 engine, mk3 loom etc just the shell of a mk2.

Thanks
