July 2009 3dr mk6 gti with 17,000 miles and I got £14,200 part exchange on mine.Cost around £24,000 when new (15% vat then)
Was  that £14,200 against a discounted price Simon?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

With your car having such a low mileage and having been supplied by them, they'll happily keep it for retail stock.

Yes they will sell it on pretty quickly and make a profit but I`m happy with the deal,it was time for a change.

Me too, I can't see them selling that on for more than £16k at absolute maximum (depending on options)and most dealers would be looking to make more than £1800 on a £16k car taking into account your low mileage. Parkers info below on an 09 plate GTI 3 door manual with many more miles than you:-

Original Price £22,415
Franchised Dealer £13,985
Independent Dealer £13,590
Private Good £12,930
Private Poor £11,270
Part Exchange £12,135
The prices above are based on:

A mileage of 40,000 (average for age)

Options selected: None

Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
MK7 R 5 door, manual, Lapiz Blue, Prets.
