I'm sure VW aren't the only car manufacturers having the same problems. They've had similar delays with the new BMW M135i... Some guys ordered back in November but are only getting them now.

Unfortunately delays seem to be the norm these days... I'm currently waiting on a sofa I ordered back in January. Heck knows where's it disappeared to?

I try not let it get to me & focus on other things. Anger & frustration is wasted energy! We just need to all "Chill" & wait patiently.

Having said that without all the current ordering problems & delays we wouldn't have anything to rant about.. So maybe that's a positive thing!!

Right guys. Not sure if I'm placated or not, but of the way home from work I popped into the dealership and had a half hour with the general sales manager. As it happens, they had become aware of the "issue" over winter pack earlier today when their demo GTI arrived, and when they went to configure a price for it, found they couldn't add winter pack, even thought the GTI had it (with cloth).

Anyway after a good talk, he showed me his order screen from the Wolfsberg factory which said order confirmed with all my toys listed, as well as a provisional build week of WK 26 !!!!

If that's the case then ill be a happy bunny again, as he said in 15 years of working for VW, once the order screen says accepted and a "allocation week" assigned, he has never ever had a vehicle change.

So could be good news after all.

Ooh yes, the GTI they had in was a 5 Door in carbon Grey metallic. I took plenty of photos on my iPhone and ill post them later in a separate thread.

You ordered yours two weeks after mine and with a lot more spec. By that I'd expect a latest build week of 26, hopefully with everything crossed!

I have understood this as it will be available on cloth if there is Bi Xenon Headlights which is standard on the GTi/GTD and the leather Winter pack adjustment is for SE and GT as there is no Bi Xenon on these so it adds Headlight Washers.

Apart from those who haven't ordered yet and who want cloth, heated seats, that is.  Anyone like Norbreck is in luck, but it still looks like the option is no longer available on the GTD/GTI.
