ET32 pokes more that ET35 so it would sit further away from the caliper.

oh, I thought the fitment for mk4 golfs were ET35 for a perfect fit, so I wouln't have any problems with ET32 on the front then?

Et32 will be fine, I'm running et15 and et20 with no problems. Personally I like the wheels flush with the arches so want a low offset.

Just for reference, 8J wheels with a final offset of ET15, coilovers all the way down with adjusters removed:

Dom is that on 215/40's?

im running 8j et35 with big spacers on rear, assuming they are 20mm if not bigger as I need to measure them which im going to do. trying to work out if 215 will sort out as 225's on at min or better swapping spacers, ive highered it up to about 50mm low but its still catching over bumps or when there is 3 in.

Yeah, that was 215/40/18 with a 20mm spacer, it sat pretty well but scrubbed with any weight in the rear.
