VAG number or Camshaft sensor?

Hey guys,

I need a camshaft sensor for my MKIV Golf 2.0 GTI.  I've seen a few on ebay but want to check the VAG number matches up (they say on the ebay shop to do this as well). 

I just called VW and they say they have a new policy not to give out part numbers, because everyone is buying on ebay!   This pissed me off a bit but it is what it is, I suppose..........

Is there any other way to get the number?
