Will the mk 6 roof bars fit??

I have been looking into this as well. I have the thule setup on my mk6 which uses Thule 754 Foot Pack and Fitting Kit 1323. on the Thule web site it only lists the 5 door mk7 and uses the same foot pack but a different fitting kit Thule 754 Foot Pack, Fitting Kit 1710. bars also remain the same.
as thule only list the 5 door mk7 indicates to me that the 3 door is different and may require a different fitting kit again. I will investigate further when my mk7 finally turns up.
at the end of the day at worst its going to cost about £35 to change the fitting kit.
however if your using vw bars given the info above this could mean a complete change. as i don't think they a modular like the thule setup.
what bars do you have?
