Lorry broken into
« on: 13 May 2013, 18:18 »
Had my lorry broken into today whilst I was in the back unloading it. He was caught on CCTV smashing the window and stealing the £2000 I had just picked up from the previous drop. He also stole my lunch bag lol, it had 2 bottle of squash in it...he'll have a shock later lol

The vehicle was seen to follow me into the industrial estate when my final drop was, he went to pull in front of me when I was pulling onto the loading bay, He then did a 3 point turn and went out the way he cAme in, that was last I'd physically seen of the vehicle...little did I know, he waited for me to get in the back of the lorry, before walking up to the passenger side, tryin the door, it was locked, he went back to the van he was in, before coming back and smashing the window and opening the door, reaching across to where're money was hidden, and then scarpering, taking my bag with my my drinks in, and the remnants of my sarnies!! Normally we have a safe in the vehicles for cash sales, but this one didn't....

I reckon they seen me collect money from the Previous drop and seen where I'd hidden it...the CCTV at the final drop has the vehicle reg and obviously from when I signalled to the driver(theif) earlier I got a good look at him to describe to the the police...just hope they catch him!!

F*cker having your drinks away with him.

That's just mean.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I worked for a famous soft drinks manufacturer many years ago where we also had to carry a lot of cash albeit in a safe in the rear of the vehicle and i'm amazed this didn't happen to more of us then.

It's not known we carry cash...unless someone has told someone...if you get me...my boss reckons it could be something to do with where I'd collected it from...either directly...or,indirectly

No no, I had eaten the sarnies..haha it's just after I'd spoken to the police for an hr I was a little parched, so went to get a drink..to find there wasn't a food/drink bag...it was a heavy bag so I can only assume he thought it was more in there that 2 bottles of orange, 1/2eaten sandwich and the twigs of the grapes! Oh and a pack of paracetamol
