Is it possible to fit key and immobilizer chip to that fob, so you don't have to carry around fob and key separate?

Above kit I can recommend ! There is a DIY fit guide on here ,

Comes with key blanks so you get them cut to suit your key and then put your iMob chip in it (has a place ) and away you go !

Any help give us a shout , when I got mine to save chopping the loom I got their plug and play kit and just plugged straight in to the pump in the boot

Would I be able to wire my boot pop into the plug and play they provide?

you get the new blank supplied with the kit cut to match YOUR key , and swap the chip from YOUR old key over in to the new one ,

has any one tried it ? , yep ive done my keys , and if you look in the DIY section there is a step by step guide showing the whole process

boot popper i think you can wire up no problem has a button on the fob and spare wires on the control unit , for window closure you need a couple of relays ,

before you ask anymore questions read this

Thanks, read it.

Is there a solenoid in the boot already, or will it need to be installed separately ?
Also you speak of relays regarding window closure.. Couldn't find anything about it - isn't it just a matter of wiring up the wires from the key fob control unit to the correct wires to the windows?

No I have a boot pop wired up to a button and installed a solenoid myself and the I didn't think the windows would need relays as the total closure is already present (turn key to lock while in the door for an extended time and windows will shut)

Do a search, there is a how to on here showing how to wire up the relays. Its very easy and doesnt take long, but you do need a relay in order for the total closure to work.
