Removing part of seat bracket.
« on: 11 May 2013, 10:28 »
Trying to remove the parts of the seat brackets on my leather seats that are broken, so I replace them.. running into a slight issue though, lol.

The part seems to be attached to the rest of the bracket by these clips ... :

Once removed, it looks like this, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it off.. It's just flat..

Any ideas?

Cheers

I think they're pretty tight in there, I'm sure last time I did it I got a big flat bladed screw driver to push against it, bit of wiggling and it should come out.

That's the thing though.. what exactly should come out? And where would you press with the flathead? in between, where the clip used to be? thanks.

any other clips still holding that bracket on?

otherwise try to wedge a flat screwdriver in and gently try twisting it.... might just break it free. if it does not come off then it's still fixed on somewhere else so don't go mental ;)

flathead on the end and having a go at it with a hammer did the trick :).
