Hello all,

Have owned my mk5 Golf GTi since March but have been a member on the mk5golfgti.co.uk forum since just before i bought the car. Will be picking people's brains from time to time. My car is used for mainly commuting but i hope to return it to as near to oem condition as i can. Its going in next week to get some rust bubbling fixed so that will be my starting point, Gary

vw are picking up 75% of the cost to repair rear driver side wheel arch, both sills and tailgate.

have them pay it all its there problem not yours i have had full costs covered by vw so you should not be any different

believe me I have tried. Been dealing with VW executive office and I even emailed VW UK managing director Simon Thomas. I cant be bothered with the hassle anymore. I just want my car fixed so I accepted their 75% offer.

What did you get done? My rear quarter panel was fully covered but both sills and the tailgate were covered 50% by Arnold Clark and 25% by VW UK

2 new wings painted along with my sills were approved fully at arnold clark in crow road glasgow
