Aaaaa does a tune up mean I need different oil

I've got a mk4 gti turbo. It bin remapped, decated and the tt turbo. What oil should I be puttiń in the beast?? I've got a read out of 230 before the decat. Dunno if that matters

go for mobil 1 0w40, drive warm and cold before and after giving it the beans.....
if you go for a track day or drive hard often then put in mobil 1 5w50....
purely technically you can use the 5w50 also on road but it doesn't fulfill VW specs for petrols (cos 502.00 and 503.01 specs allow only up to 5W-40, since its tuned would not give a rats ass about VW specs as long as it's good oil). It's quite similar to 0w40 version so personally would not get a headache using it in my road car (and have done in the past).

just make sure you change it annually or every 9k miles - or more often when going for track days.....

depends on how it was mapped and if anything was changed mechanically (compression)....
at 230hp i'd put 97/98 RON in..... although you can probably run it on 95 with slight loss of power since it has a knock sensor and will correct ignition timing accordingly.
