replacing rear view mirror
« on: 08 May 2013, 16:04 »
I've recently bought a car that's got a knackered rear view mirror. The anti glare, liquid stuff inside has leaked so I now have half tint and half normal mirror. I think it's the original rain detector type as when it rains harder the wipers work quicker. As I'm having my windscreen replaced next Monday because of a crack. So I'm tryingto get hold of the same mirror so they canput it back onto the screen for me.

Do i need the full mirror and bracket plus wires, or can I just replace the glass part ?

Apart from the auto dimming glass, would a normal mirror work with the wiring that's already there or does the wiring actually plug into the mirror .

P.S.... I can't find the ad for the auto dimming mirror, what's it listed under mate ?
