See more valvers on here with 'issues' than 8v's....rather be driving mine than staring at it in bits.

Welcome to the forum Dan, buy a mk3 as they are much cooler and way better than mk2's which no one likes and can smell a bit funny too.

Someone went fishing!
One of these would look great mounted to the Poop Deck of a Mk3

Mk2 all the way

Somewhere there is a photographer who specialises in sea fishing/whaling photo's and enjoys many more hits to his/her photobucket account than he/she otherwise would.

Buy on bodywork condition Dan...better to have a perfect 8v than a 16v teabag...

Erm no.......

All 8v's have a teabag under the bonnet.

Drive both and you'll be suprised how good a nice 8v is, don't listen to the haters..most of them don't even drive golfs.

Have a go in a 16v too as you might prefer the revvier nature of the abf, the 8v is a bit more laid back and torquey but still makes for a great drive.
