I'm looking to buy a new pressure washer and snow foam lance, but am a bit of a loss as to what works best with what.

I don't want to buy a pressure washer because it seems good value, only to find that there are no decent lances that fit it. Also, I don't want to click on the lance first, to find that I need to spend a fortune on a pressure washer.

What can you recommend? (With links please)

K series Karcher and then a PA Foam lance from Waxamomo. I've had a recent issue with loss of pressure and it was just a little o ring washer and they couldn't have been more helpful, in fact they sent me a complete 'common' repair kit just in case I need it.

My pressure washer is a nilfisk c120
http://www.screwfix.com/p/nilfisk-alto-c120-3-6-120bar-pressure-washer-1-7kw-230v/54990

And I use it with this snow foam lance http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/HD_Snow_Foam_Kit_Karcher_KEWNA_1.html

Had these for nearly two and half years and never had a problem with them, I think at some point ill have to replace the pressure washer as its had a lot of use (well over the quoted hours for this type of unit) but for under a £100 (mine was £89 at the time) I've had good use out of it and I'd recommend it all day long for a cheap, light, reliable machine which also pumps out 120 bar of pressure which is more than sufficient for the job in hand.
I'm not saying its better than others out there ie karchers, I've just had this machine a while now and its been a good buy imo especially considering the amount of graft its had to do.

Karchers are worth a look into but imo you won't get a reasonably reliable machine until you start spending double what you stated above, the cheaper models won't last forever but I know people with the hd series and say good things about them but obviously the outlay is going to be higher.

Hope this helps.

Cheers boys. I've gone with Dan's suggestions, although none of the local Screw Fix have then in stock, so I've got one from Amazon instead. Just got to wait for the postman now.

Christ, for £200 you could get a PW a lance and a load of goodies!

I have the nilfisk c120, as others have mentioned, never missed a beat, but no lance as yet
