No, aren't the the exhausts on the cab R at either side but tail pipes are different shape so maybe not fit a gti?? 
Yes they're oval, possibly sharing the Scirocco R rear exhaust box (feeling like a real anorak now!!!) but the cutouts look similar to the standard diffuser from photos.
And unless you live in a small area of London, part of Essex or maybe Poole I doubt you'll see enough R Cabs to get to check properly!!
