Talking of the seats, one thing I don't get and I think is a missed opportunity is the extending seat squab. Most of the Golfs competitors seats have this, and even it's DNA sister, the new Audi A3 has this in S-Line and Sports trims.
At over 6ft tall, I have quite long legs, and whilst I find my current scirocco chairs to be quite comfortable, I do think the squabs are a little short for full support. when I was thinking of an A3 S-Line, to be honest the seats were one of the things that attracted me to it, half leather as standard and extending seat bases. Don't know why VW opted not to do this on their flagship Golf models ?
