these are the two black braided 3mm vacuum lines near the air intake plastic bedpan shaped air intake above the throttlebody. i bought some on ebay but they tend to collapse and starve the engine of air. are they available anywhere? my silicone ones are not a goid replacement.:(

I bought some 3mm silicone tubing on eBay from these guys about a year ago and it's been absolutely fine.

I used marine grade fuel line with ID 3mm for vacuum hoses on my engine. Works brilliant - they are braided on the outside as well as fairly thick (OD is a lot larger than original vacuum hose) so don't collapse easily.

OEM £3 pm at VW, or completely free if you raid the automation dept at work :grin:
