Elections on Thursday - who's voting?
« on: 01 May 2013, 10:33 »
Local elections are happening tomorrow in a lot of areas.  These are for town/parish councils and at county level too.

In case you don't know, the people elected tomorrow control a lot of your life around you:

Schools
Social care
Roads
Planning
Rubbish collection
Coastal defence (where relevant)

I could go on.

Will you be voting?  If you aren't, why not?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

There are no elections on Thursday in my area. If there was I would vote.
Can't be doing with folk who moan and complain about politics but don't actually vote.

I opted for postal voting and have had nothing through, so assume there is no voting in my area.

I've only ever voted twice, all the other times I wasn't living in the country.
