How to change oxygen sensor?
« on: 30 April 2013, 22:06 »
I have a 1996 8v.

Searched the forums to no avail... Could anyone be so kind as to tell me in detail how to do this? Also are there 1 or 2 sensors?

Cheers.

I cant remeber how many i think its one and u need a socket and alot of wd40 and a breaker bar the sensors are so tight has constant heating a cooling causes them to go stiff snap on do a special lambada sockect as the wire wont get in the way then dosent matter about the wire if your changing it

you only got one lambda sensor - it sits in the cat, on the top side of the pipe in front section for ady and agg, for the old 2e i think it was in the exhaust manifold...

U cant miss the lamba sensor if you look under the car you will see it near the cat a spark plug looking thing with a wire hanging out the top
