How much does a Golf engine weight?

Right off on a road trip tomorrow to get pick up a 2L Mk3 engine. Taking my golf to go get it.

Question is.. How much you think it weight? and will it fit in the back of a mk2. (no gearbox with it)

Depends how much of a fat b@stard he is really!!!! but should be ok in back of a mk2 maybe a mk3 tank would be better suited though

put your small rims back on for the mission don't want to ding them lovely shiny Brocks now do you!?

i kind meant it seems like you've only been here a week or so and you've gone from "just got a golf!!" to "just taken a grinder to it" to "just fitted a new head" to "now i want a g60" to "just got coilovers" to "now i want a 2ltr" to "i want a piper 285" to trying to fit a mk3 engine in your boot!!!

Hey joe.. where did u buy ur cam and pulley???

was gonna fit the G60 but its too big a jump.. silly to spend so much cash when i have just got my 8v running right so its off to derby tomorrow to pick up a Mk3 2L bottom end to fit my PB 8v... should be fun!
