16v jumping rpm gauge

cheers rubjonny i changed the main pump and it drives and starts much better, it doesn't buzz anymore. I take it that if it starts to buzz again soon then it's the lift pump. i still have the occasional judder and the rpm gauge still moves a bit. searched the forum and found a similar thing to mine, said it could be the hall sender in dizzy?

Sounds good, but check the lift pump is definitely working before you do any serious milage or you'll wear out your new pump!

Just put your ear to the plastic circle under the boot carpet, you should hear the lift pump clearly
