The scrap people will be rubbing there hands trading a working car for 150 quid just because of a brake line u cant buy another car for 150 unless its a shed try to fix it mate copper pipes u cant make as you need a flaring tool take it to a garage to get fixed if not break the mk4 for bits

Could easy take the old pipe off and go to a garage to ask them to make the same size, we have farmers coming all the time wanting it done..I usually make them..2 minutes to cut and put ends on, then with copper you just bend as you need it, plus it doesn't rot!! :)

Still got to drop the tank to remove old pipe! Will attempt it..or see how much to fix at a garage...mega £££ no doubt lol

It doaent take that long tp drop a tank it depends whats in the way if nothing is in the way its a couple of bolts and they may only need to drop it a little your prob look at 2hours max at 50 pound a hour if you live in west london tge copper pipe that dont cost that much

i wouldnt scrap it for that, mine has had 2 gearbox rebuilds in the last 3 years which i wouldnt mind if i abused it!

I think this thread was a knee jerk reaction to being pissed off about things always going wrong...especially when none of it was my fault lol(ok maybe the 1st brake pipe getting snapped was lol maybe i was to heavy handed lol) it's in a garage now, hopefully ill have it back nx week sometime

Already seen the nx problem lol...drove passed it today, massive puddle of coolant underneath! Hopefully just a pipe split...not fussed tho...I like the challenge believe it or not lol
