We've got two types of chairs in our office.

Its all developers here, so they are sat in them ~8hrs per day. No complaints at all. We've had them for ~18 months now - and nothing broken/worn at all, they're really solid.

Good chairs are well worth spending the money on.

I looked at the Ikea chairs - and they were all naff. Not a chance they'd be any use for more than 3hrs per day.

Work from home and have a £50 ikea high back office chair bought 4 years ago, can't go wrong and would definitely buy another

Can categorically confirm that they are, sometimes sat in it for 10-12 hors a day working

Indeed, the IKEA Markus chair my friend has is super comfortable, he uses it for 10+ hours a day with no issues at all.

May as well give it go mate, the recaro office chairs are expensive so might well end up being a bargain!

Those prices are just mad. 

I picked them up today. I'm not sure if they are Sierra ones after all. They could well be S2 RS Turbo ones. Even so, they are sooooooooo comfortable. If my Mk2 wasn't so original, I'd figure out a way of fitting them in there, but I'm not. I'm sticking to my original plan and building an office chair.
