Rear LED lights- a different question!
« on: 23 April 2013, 14:31 »
If I was to swap my non Led rear lights with somebody who has LEDs apart from the wiring adapter in my car to get the LEDs working, what would the car having the non led lights need?? :undecided:

The car that is losing the LED's would also need adapters i think, as it'll have the LED connector in the car and not the halogen one, i can't remember if you could just use the halogen to led ones that everyone buys or if they'd need to be different? I'm sure someone will be able to tell you though. :-\

Thats what I was thinking, I know you need a wiring harness adapter to convert halogen to LED and these are readily available, but I doubt if there is any harnesses for LED to Halogen

I've been looking for some led lamps for mine but they seem to make very good money used.
There's a set on eBay just now on £350!!!!!
As for changing over led to non led would the led adapters not just unplug from the cars original harness?
I've never done this but assumed that would be the case.

Can anyone answer if led rear lamps will work on a September 09 gtd?
When doing some research I found that people said not compatible with pre 2010 body controllers?

Cars factory fitted with LEDs don't have the conversion harness they just have the LED harness which is different to a standard bulb harness.
