Black & White shots

Been shooting a lot on the streets and found black & white really working nicely for these:

Slightly different B&W process on this one:

I've never tried street shots, but they do work well in B&W, find that it stops everything else being distracting and keeps the focus. Love the first one, framed really well!

Cheers.

A fresh one from yesterday. Not technically street, but candid in the station:

Been at it again.
A quick trip to a small lake reminded me of the Ansel Adams exhibition I saw recently.
In particular, I was reminded of this quote and so, I processed these photos a couple of times (in Lightroom) and eventually decided that these worked well in a vintage black & white film style.

"The negative is comparable to the composer's score and the print to its performance. Each performance differs in subtle ways."  - Ansel Adams

This one just got explored Today at no: 229. Quite pleased with that.
I like this monochrome version, but I also like the colour one I produced, which I haven't uploaded yet.
