Number Plate OEM LED lights - Part Number please
« on: 22 April 2013, 09:29 »
Hi

Noticed one of my non-OEM number plate lights was out at the weekend   Looks like the unit has 'blown' so am after replacing.

I have looked at the OEM ones.

Can anyone confirm the part number before I order please? I have it as 1K8943021C

thanks :)

I did have an old thread all about these
Yes errors on the earlier mk6 that you cannot code out. (have to use resistors)
Later bmc have different software to allow for the led number plate lights.
But oddly they are ok on mk5s

As snoopy says, you need resistors on older cars (mines a 59 plate). I bought the resistors from car systems in Poland for around £20 and delivered in two days!
