Well when i got my golf after about a month or 2 i noticed a rust bubble on the drivers side arch being lazy i left it ... Over a year and a half later i finally got round to sorting it with a new (to me) wing when i removed the old arch theres a big old bit of foam which i can only presume has collected water and caused if not aided the corrosion !

Pictures of my work for the afternoon

Not to bad of a job all in all except when i closed my bonnet and noticed the massive gap !!! Me and my mate just had to laugh about it as we just said before hand how easy and stress free it was

Yeah its the black thing in the second picture it was reasonably damp when i removed it so i can only blame that why it started in the first place, i probally could of claimed on the anti corrosion warrenty but by the time i knew that existed it was too far gone and would of been more hassle than it was worth !

The new wing had a couple of scuffs from by the looks of it a bush of some sorts but there were only only the laquer so i gave it a quick once over with some compound, polish then wax which made it 90% less visable i would say. I then noticed how deep the silvers shine looked where that panel had been given a once over which led to the whole front end being done! Im going to go over the wing with some 2000 wet and dry to get rid of the minor marks still there at somepoint not really looking forward to it though, little bit scary sanding your car with very ltd detailing knowledge if any !
