MK3 GTi Breathing???
« on: 15 April 2013, 22:47 »
Hi guys, my Mk3 GTi 8v has a universal bolt on air filter fitted at the moment (was that way when i brought it!) which i wont deny does sound fairly, I'm sure is doing no favors with regards to heat soak from the engine bay. What are peoples thoughts on the best set up for this engine?? I'm thinking maybe standard air box with k&n or the like panel filter fitted will surely be better?? Any advice appreciated

I'm a fan of keeping it fairly original..... would personally go down route of standard box and k&n filter.

Better to run a standard airbox with a cold air feed.

cheers guys, will be searching ebay later tonight to find one.....well only the top part is needed as the previous left the bottom half of the air box in there! :)
