Thanks for the advice guys. On cleaning my wheels I had a mk5 GTI that had to have the wheels replaced after a couple months due to lacquer issues they first faced. Since then I have only ever really used car shampoo and water same as the body work. Lets face it they are easy to clean.

Then I wax with dodo juice super natural, then seal with jet seal 109.

1 of the things they have agreed to replace is the centre caps so they are going to be done on Thursday.

On Order - Mk 8.5 Clubsport Pure White, Queenstown, DCC.
MK 7.5 R Pure White, Pretoria Silver, DCC, Rear Camera.
Gone - MK 7 GTI Carbon Grey, Rear Camera, Service Pack.
Gone - MK 6 GTI  Reflex Silver, Monza Shadows, RCD 510, Rear Camera, Bluetooth, Tyre Pressure Sensor, Xenons Convenience pack, Service Pack :)
Gone - MK 5 GTI Reflex Silver, Monza II 18's, Luxury Pack, Mulitchanger

Just given the cab a good clean pending its service etc and valuation against a Tig R line and noticed one of them going in exactly the same way! Not happy as the car is less than 9 months old!

After two weeks the dealer has called to say that VW claim the corrosion is air wear and tear, not happy at all especially as the car is less than a year old and it hasn't got as much as stone chip on it

I've asked the dealer for some sort of a reference number that they would've used for the warranty claim so I can make formal complaint to VW UK. Then the cheeky sods have tried to sell me into a mk7 GTi which also has diamond cut wheels!

I noticed the first signs of white work in exactly the same place as in the original pics on one wheel this weekend and was going to bring it up when my car gets serviced.

unfortunately i bang the wheel on the curb while stationary as well this weekend and i have a few stone chips on the wheel from the estate where i work so i think i have a lot going against me when i try and get them to fix it.  :undecided:
