Good and bad moment.
« on: 13 April 2013, 19:55 »
Yesterday I got a deposit for the MR2 as I had someone interested in buying. So took £350 deposit off them, then my younger brother took the car for 15 mins, well he went to petrol station. On way back some old fella decided to come out of giveway, resulting in a collision.

Liability has been accepted by the old fella as well as his insurance company.

The guy interested in MR2 still wants it. Thank god

Anyway went to garage today morning to get a quote for damage, so seen a MK4 R32, battery was dead, decided to bump it and take it for a blast, let me confirm this. They are sh!te, a VR6 feels much quicker than R32.

Maybe this 32 was battered n bruised? Who knows. What are your thoughts on a 32?, might buy an S3 or sumat next

Lot of extra weight in a Mk4, but an extra 70bhp and 150nm of torque should take care of that......

I'm sure R32 lumps are lighter than a VR6?

Taking into account the whole car weighs a good 150+ kilos more.

Its a cruiser at the end of the day, if you want speed you can spend what you save buying a 1.8t on go faster goodies

Throttle was very keen, doing 30mph and all you need to do was tap the throttle and it'll jump. But not my cup of tea, I've always wanted a R32, but after driving this, I'm having second thoughts. Might try a S3 or MK5 GTI Turbo.

Type R engines, you can't beat them. Honda actually admit that the best handling car they have ever made is a Integra DC2. Nothing compares to that from the other Honda models.
