Bleeding brakes

Been a while since I bled brakes, especially rears!  Remind me...handbrake on...or off...

i dont think it matters mate  i did my brother in laws corsa the other week with the hand brake on

Do you have to also do the slave  cylinder too..or will that be ok...

Don't think it matters about the handbrake as its mechanical not hydraulic. I did a fluid change on mine last week, just did the calipers and the 2 on the side of the master cylinder.

just dont let your MC run dry like i did lol, think i got air into the ABS pump, i just bled mine a good few times after changing the rear pads and still had air in them. need vag com to cycle the pump as you open nipples etc.
It does say to do the clutch at the same time as it shares the same fluid tho.
pressure bleeding is recommended.

An eezibleed will make your life easier too, £20 from halfords, around half that with a trade card. It's a power-bleeder that uses air pressure from a tyre.

I bought a new one on ebay for £12 including postage  a few days ago.
