Well

I've  bitten the bullet and decided to hand Bessie over to a mechanic who knows what he's doing!
He has the KJet diagnositc thingys and a big sun rolling road :) I'm hoping I'll get her back running like a stormer and find out why she was running so rich and stalling and stuff.
I'll post up the problems and solutions and maybe the dyno sheets, I've asked for 1 before and 1 after so hopefully I'll be able to see a difference in the 2 if not I'm selling up!!!! should be back around lunchtime hopefully! :)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

Cool, should come out running sweet. I took my AX GT on the RR. Was impressed with the figures. 92.5 BHP, 134lbsft Toruqe @ 4,500

Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ Should'nt be too hard to beat that in the Golf. Beat the BHP already ;)

Holy sh!te!!!!

Anyway the results :D

Dyno printer wasn't working today so no maps yet but going back in 2 weeks for a retest so should get one then

On arrival he checked the gasses and made sure that the engine was fit to go on the rollers, which it was apparently and

She first produced a grand total of 93 BHP with many flat spots    Only just Logie ;)

And then!!!

Set the timing up properly stopped it pinking (don't need to do my tappets!!), checked the timing advance which it wasn't doing, "freed" up the Airflow Meter, checked all the electrical points and CSV, WUR, ISV etc and then banged it back on the rollers for round 2.

Second time 149 BHP  get in!! :D :D :D

So 56 BHP for £50 I'm a happy lad now! finally got the ledgendary power and performance I was expecting! And I'm not selling it anymore get off I'll fight u for it!

So, when it went in I'd had enough :( now I can't get enough! :) I took it for a long drive after picking it up and it's loads better but I can't bloody stop quick enough. So I need to upgrade my brakes big time! 239mm brakes and 149 BHP do not go together!!!!!

Excellent stuff :D

I take it you've got an early 16v or had an engine conversion then?
