here's my set up on monza's to give you an idea on looks if you do go the coilover route, i rub on full lock, no spacers, but i am very low. Depends on how you set up

In my opinion, no 17/18" wheels look good on a standard height MK4.

exactly, as good as any 18'' wheel can lol bit of a 4x4. I'll see if i can dig out an old photo. I don't suppose you'll be selling those standard wheels? are they monty II's?

Not sure probably 60-70mm I haven't measured it though tbh it was done the old fashioned way by sticking a finger width between the wheel and arch  :grin: however it has settled since then

Is the rubbing an issue then anything you can get to stop that , would you say coilovers are the best option ?

Running on driveshaft issues are cured with a tt or r32 front arb, on the arches depends on height of car and wheel set up.

The best option depends on what you wants. You can go lower on coilovers but they are harsher than springs and shocks. I'm fine with the ride, the gf hates it  :grin:
