Hi Guys, I am new here. I am based in Germany and I joined a while back as I have been looking at buying a Golf GTi. I used to own (about 4 years ago) a MK4 GTi Turbo. I loved this car, even if the MK4 has been rated as the worst GTi
Therefore I would like to get another one (possible a newer one):
My old MK4:
I have been looking around (here in Germany) and for my money (cars are more expensive here than in the UK) I van get a MK5 GTi.
I have a few questions re this car, including:
- What to look for when buying (e.g. cam belt or anything to check for)?
- What sort of mileage is acceptable / should be (not be) considered - What mileage are they good for
- Which is better / preferred: Manual or DSG boxes
I appreciate that most of this is already covered in this forum, Just wanted to say hi and put out some questions - I have not looked around in great detail (lazy I know, sorry)
