If your not going to lower it much i'd go for decent quality shocks and lowering springs rather than coilovers as you'll get the sh!tty ride and handling from cheap coilovers for no good reason.

Fixed. Good coilovers will beat shocks and spring as you can corner weigh the car and set hight accordingly. But lets face it, if your gonna spend £700/£1000 on coilovers you won't be driving a mk3
Oh i don't know....i know someone who's spent the best part of four grand on air ride..

the correct way of doing the top mounts? I ask because it shows you having to remove the entire strut, use spring compressors, vice etc etc (neither of which I currently have).

And also, just to check that this is all I need?

Had a look under the covers of the rear suspension, looked okay at least.
