Sunroof

Anyone know how to set these up

It used to work fine talking few years ago now
It opens perfect but when I go to close it
The final stage where the sunroof moves up to seal the roof
It won't go high enough leaving a small gap which leaks

Also when I refitted the wind breaker back on the sunroof won't push it down enough to clear it

What I have tried adjusting bits and pieces but nothing has worked

Yeah I think that's why I took it off to see if it would seal at the other end of the sunroof
And it didn't. it all started when the sunroof opened out of line and jammed so I changed part of the mechanism I even adjusted some brackets that have a raised bit on them as they is another locating slot
To make it more raised

sounds like the cable or something has jamed it.

might be worth taking it out and starting from scratch..

They are IMO over engineered - but guess thats why they last!!

Is the gap at the front or the back? If it's the back look at the runner bit on the end of the cable that the small bar under tension sits in. It's a black circular bit on a small rod that goes into the plastic housing. If any faults mean the bar isn't under tension the sunroof won't lift up that last little bit.

Hope I've explained it well enough, should be clear when you have a look.

I changed the cable after it jammed the first time mate

I'll check that out hopefully that could be the problem it is at the gap but also need to find out why the wind deflector does not lower enough also as I have to leave it off for now which means I can't use the sunroof as it would be loud

Thanks for comments guys ill try update and get some pictures up
