Plastic moulding
« on: 07 April 2013, 18:23 »
Basically what I want to know is who does them, I've got a rare grill on one of my cars as I have found out on another forum, infact there's only 2 of them in the country, 1 of them being mine.

Apparantly one of them sold on eBay some time ago for £400. Pretty expensive.

Right anyone know who can copy these, so I can sell them on to other people

Good luck with that one! you're looking at a very limited market, where someone wanted something badly!... and don't forget that its originality that commands higher prices

lol, there is someone who wants mine and will pay £350 as he's made me an offer. But I don't want to sell it.

But if I make copies, I'll sell them really cheap. As if I'd want to sell copies for £400. The point is they are rare and people want them.

They is someone who's on the glanza forum. He makes copies of rare bodykits and stuff and they sell, His shop is called ID-Workz. So it is possible

If you can find the mould then you have saved 40k on buying a copy from china........ I would project manage it for you at £75 per hour and have parts in about three months.
Moulding machine will be about £400 per day, mould will cycle at about 1 part per minute, material £6 per kilo.......
If you can get me an order of 50000 parts then we can start making some monies

Laser scan your current item £2k and 3D print it for about £20 a go moq 100 parts

Manually craft it out of FG £500 a piece

not worth it really
