Lowering and Alloy Fitment
« on: 07 April 2013, 10:48 »
I'm getting a Mk5 GTI and am going to lower it on a spring and shock kit but can't find much info or a guide.

1. What other parts need to be changed at the same time i.e do the top mounts need replacing? I've had a look at these on eurocar parts and they look very different to the big rubber ones on earlier golfs.

2. I am thinking of getting some BBS Speedline alloys and have found some which are 18" 7.5j ET54. Would these fit and how much closer or further away from the inner arch would they be compared to standard gti wheels?

Thanks

Bought the alloys now worked out they will be 3mm closer to the hub as Monzas are ET51 so may get some spacers to fill the arches better.

Anyone know about the top mounts?
