mk6 gtd needle sweep vcds?

I wanted a few vcds tweaks done to my golf, so I located an individual not too far from me who had vcds. Travelled 40 odd miles to see him and he charged £25.

One of the main things i wanted done is the 'needle sweep' but it wasnt successful as it just wouldnt let me do it!

The only other thing I wanted is the heated seat memory function and this was successful 

Feel abit gutted that I wasted diesel and £25 for only 1 thing, but also does anyone know why the needle sweep wasnt happening? On the forum link it says it wont work on 'G clusters' but mine are 'A'.

Any help.......and free vcds?

Did you just try it the once as it took my 12plate a couple times for it to activate...?

Same with mine, a few go's messing about and then it sorted itself out.

Yes, tried finding the right bit several times but it just wasnt allowing to access it
