Rear caliper question.
« on: 06 April 2013, 09:30 »
Hi all,

Will a caliper from another trim model fit my car?? I know the turbo won't fit they have bigger discs, but if I see a 1.6 or sommut, will it fit..only reason I ask, is because my nearest scrappy is 30miles away, and I know they have Golfs but no GTIs

Golf 2.0 8v | 1.8 | TDI 115 | TDI 110 | TDI 100 | TDI 90 - 280mm - you need the hubs and discs, calipers and pads are the same.

Golf GTI 1.8T | Golf 130/150 TDI | Golf V5 150 | Seat Leon 130/150 TDI and 20VT - 288mm - you'll need everything! Hub, calliper, carrier, pads, discs, splash guards.

All this is a hell of a lot of work. Buy yourself some decent pads, discs and brake fluid, you'll find it makes a hell of a lot of difference!

Cheers mate.

Got a unit from ECP...thought it'd be better than trying a unit off a scrapper
